Son Village

Located in the heart of the Mt. Hood National Forest, Son Village provides a program that promotes personal responsibility, cooperation and hard work.  This 15-bed facility serves boys between the ages of 12 and 17 who are referred for placement by the Oregon Youth Authority.  The staff at Son Village seek to create a safe, predictable environment for the residents by providing appropriate limits that are consistently reinforced in the context of caring, nurturing relationships.  There is a strong commitment to returning youth to their own homes or a less restrictive environment at the earliest appropriate time-generally 9-12 months.
